By using PenBot's SMS messaging service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
2. Service Description
PenBot provides an SMS messaging service that enables families to stay connected with incarcerated loved ones. Messages sent by inmates through the CorrLinks email system are forwarded as text messages to designated family members, and replies are delivered back to the inmate.
3. SMS Consent & Opt-In
To receive SMS messages from PenBot:
- You must opt in first (recipient-initiated consent)
- Opt in by texting START to our PenBot number or by using the web opt-in form on the SMS Consent page
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP
Message frequency varies based on communication from your incarcerated loved one. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.

4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
5. Message Content
PenBot is a message relay service. We do not control or endorse the content of messages sent through our service. Users are solely responsible for the content of their messages.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
7. Limitation of Liability
PenBot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
